I see them all the time on E-bay.You just have to be comfortable ordering them from China .batman-smilie.
I like them. The kit seems very complete. I imagine the replacement housing is a major reason for the high cost. But at a thousands bucks, too expensive for me.
If it had chrome on it, Steve would buy it!
I love them, but man, I got to draw a line somewhere. I'll pass on it. But on the other hand, if it were for maybe $300 I might reconsider.
I wonder how the high beam will work when switched from low beam since HID bulbs do not light up instantly. Some conversion kits only supply low beam HID bulbs. Some factory HID systems mechanically move the reflector to switch to the high beam.
I think I'd rather put that 950 in on the air conditioner someone posted recently
To answer this inquiry, I had originally changed out all four of my headlights, making both low beams and high beams into HID lights. After a coast to coast ride, and experiencing the start-up time of the high beams, I decided to eliminate the HID high beams, and went with PIAA Super White bulbs in the high beams.
The problem was that the HID high beams just took too long to come up to full illiumination...even if that is 5 seconds...when you need a high beam instantaneously.
"coffee"
Like These they have solenoids for the high beam so are instant
