I installed my new Russell daylong seat, it was waiting for me when I got home from work today. I haven't rode it yet but felt good just sittin on it, have to go for a ride tomorrow eveining.
Give us an unabashed report after you ride, what you really think about it. I've been known to make myself believe I really like something just because I bought it. I've had several seats and went back to the stocker. Your new one HAS to be good though, I've never known anyone to not love their "day long."
Mine is in the garage, staying dry.
Mine's all apart in the studio, getting painted. By me. Finished the last bits today, and going to shoot the clear with pearl (blue) tomorrow, and the urethane clear on Thursday. This is the front fender.

I am SO ready to get back to riding!!!!
Finally bit the bullet and put a deposit on a red deluxe F6B. Pickup next week. I wanted a black one, but the wifey won out. Happy wife, happy life.
Finally painted my shaved rear brake pedal.

What I did to my F6B! Besides adding Fog Lights, Rear Rack, I took off my windshield and had it Wrapped Matte/Flat Black

You have an burnt orange Stryker. That's the same bike I traded for my matte silver F6B.
I put my new Corbin seat on today
It gives a lot of support to your back,I like it.

Damn.... that blues looks great! And yes, your new seat also! :woohoo:
Picked up the red deluxe. On the 400 mile ride home, I had some time to think about upgrades. I have a tweaked knee and the rider pegs forced my boot to be parallel which aggravated my knee. Stopped by 2 Honda dealers on the way home and snagged the only pair of the lowered mini-floorboards from one of them (both didn't stock squat for Wings or the F6B). Installed them when I got home, got back on the bike and took another ride. The lowered mini-floorboards makes it easier to find both the brake and shifter pedals. It also allows my feet to have some wiggle room and to stay at their natural (non-parallel) angle which doesn't aggravate the knee. The mini-floorboards are not as long as the Vision's, but IMO are better than the pegs.
Note to self: Pack warm socks.
Heated grips came in handy.
Need to decide on a taller shield and get a set of passenger floorboards (and a better backrest) for the wifey. The radio is pretty much useless at 70+ with the wind noise on the helmet. A good shield should address this to some extent. The shorty stock shield surprisingly cut down more wind than what I would have thought.
Nice having a quiet pipes again (mixed blessing). A quiet bike is easy on the ears, but a barking exhaust has woken up many oblivious cagers.
The iPod connector works. Got to figure out how to switch playlists.
Picked up some construction road tar on the way home and got it off right away. Noticed some pink on the polish rag.
The bars could come up and back a tad (maybe risers ?), highway pegs and maybe a different seat (shaped and further back for a little more leg extension).
Plug & Play HIDs are on the short list.
This thing handles like a solid, bottom heavy sport bike. Have to check suspension setting to see where it is set at.
Bad news: max weight capacity for rider, passenger and luggage means time to drop 40 lbs. :workout:
Installed my corbin seat today. :)

Rode it
I get some really good stares and comments at the grocery store when people see me stuffing 5 bags into the panniers :icon_biggrin:
My favorite... "now THAT's what I call a grocery getter".
Look at your brake pedal, see the nasty edges that look like over mould material? Then look how I sanded that down. The silver aluminum pedal just does not go with the matte silver scheme so it was painted to match the black frame of the bike.
I am sanding down another pedal and will have it on sale here in a week or so. I have a second pedal so I didn't lose riding time, even though the weather in Houston is horrible for riding......rain,rain,rain.
Got my Isleen her extra 4 years - she's covered until Apr of 2021.
After watching George's untimely transmission issue, I decided that $499 + tax was truly goodness.
Installed the Riderscan mirror..http://hondaf6b.com/showthread.php?5...ot-Mirror-Eval
Had it serviced, rode it, got rained on and scored a set of passenger floorboards from an EBay auction.

I bought these ones on ebay, not arrived yet. Intend to use for Garage Opener and Voltmeter

cute, waterproof and cheap... hope this helps
I'm using those same switches and it's a pretty good choice. The waterproof claim is not totally accurate but they do seem to have some resistance to casual water. If you mount these on a horizontal surface that is exposed to water, they will short out but will work again when they dry out. I haven't had that problem with the switches mounted vertically or where they are protected from direct exposure to water.
Finally installed the brake pedal. Dipped the nose in plastidip black.

Took the wifey for her first long ride (on the F6B) and bought a Service Manual from HelmInc.com.
Shield, tour pak base and P&P HIDs are next on the list (with GPS & radar mount following).
