The M109R I had that had a lot more chrome stayed nice because every year I coated it with WD40 while it waited for spring to get back. WD40 Protects a lot of material from moisture. There is none better for keeping the chrome looking brand new on your ride. It doesn't take much to coat it and it needs to be washed off in the spring before starting your bike up as it will turn white with heat applied. Then its a pain in the rear to get off your hot pipes.
