Holy Crap, that looks gorgeous .batman-smiley.
I had 2 Valk tourers and loved em. This I would have to see in person. Interesting.
First Thought--Will those wheels fit my F6B?
Will the side slash tips fit or be long enough? On the other hand there will be some that will want bags and a landslide of other stuff. lol... For me I like my F6B over it..
Forget the new 1300, I really like this!
I like my f6b for the bags and fairing. The new Valk is 98lbs lighter than the 6 which is already very fast, it will be a rocket ship.
It appears to have a different frame, as the rake and trail are different. The wheels are also different size, with a 19 out front and a 17 rear.
If I hit the lotto I'd own both, but as it stands know I have to have a bagger, to cover trips and street fighting.
Marty
I think I best keep my F6?
I see more speeding tickets if I owned one. Love the looks!
Hell yeah. Sweeeet machine :motorcycle2:
Wow...a strip down F6B! I like it.
looking at this makes me want to wait to see what the 2015 F6B will be like. Major changes are likely to appear!
This is my Scientific Wild Ass Guess
Honda has created 2 new Bikes that use this proven 1832cc engine,
2015 will be GOLDWINGS 40th Anniversary year, will Honda introduce a NEW GL 2100 for its 40th Anniversary? and continue production on these 1800 engines for 3-4 years on this new Valkyrie and F6B ????? Will history repeat itself?
in 1997 Honda introduced the 1500 Valkyrie
In 2001 introduced the GL 1800 GoldWing, Honda continued to use the old 1500 Goldwing engine on the Valkyrie until 2003 (using up all of the parts?)
I think the Riders that purchase this bike will be very similar to the F6B Riders and would be nice to invite them into our events.
I hope Honda continues on and builds the naked sportbike with the 1800.
Son of a Bitch!! I wish I had waited!!
That is Gorgeous!

I get a kick at how the old folks say Honda is not moving forward....looks to me like they are moving forward by leaps and bounds.....
The BLACK one looks BAD-ASS !!!!!
The Cylinder heads are NOT black, click on bottom 2 pics of article
COLORS ..... Black, Dark Red Metallic, Blue Metallic (aren't these the same as the 2014 Wing, Candy Red and Pearl Blue)
Heyyyyyyy where's the REVERSE and CRUISE ? :tomatohit:

In black
COOL!
Not into 'cruiser' anymore, but thank goodness Honda is filling in the gaps!
This will also benefit us F6B owners with aftermarket accessory developments,,,, Sure, some won't 'bolt on', but many will!
All around, I'm warming up to the appearance and glad to see Honda 'spreading out' a bit with their larger offerings!

NEW Video with detailed photos, shows ABS (maybe does not have linked system)

HMMMM???? Maybe it will grow on me after awhile. Narrow fairing makes it look like a Triumph rocket 3 to me, kind of humped up a little to much with that 6 gallon tank, dont like
the shortened Rune headlight either. It doesnt look like a cruiser to me, looks like a euro touring bike on steroids, F6B is a better looking bike IMHO
Loved my '03 Valk for ten years and I know I'd really like this one. It's a stunner and if I could own a fleet, I'd be heading to my dealer right now with my checkbook. But the fleet idea isn't in the cards for me. That being said, I like and need some comfort and convenience items that would tend to screw up the striking appearance of the new Valkyrie. Some good wind protection, usable sized bags, and an aftermarket seat for sure. As much as the new Valk appeals to me, it's the F6B that floats my boat. I do still have a Valk T-shirt that I wear with pride.

Don't like the black. After seeing it a few more times I'm really starting to dislike it.
Looks like they are reusing the rear end of the CTX's
It is eye candy for sure, and I love it, but the truth of the matter is I need the wind protection and bags on the F6B too. It's as close as I will probably get to a cruiser. When it gets right down to it, if I were to look at something else, it would probably be the new all black wing. That said, I appreciate all the new offerings Honda has coming. I like a company that innovates. Another thing, if my wife can't find me in the evenings, I'm probably out in te garage admiring my bagger.
Watched the promo video and they call it a "Goldwing Valkyrie" and they have the same mirrors as my 99 valk.
Only thought I have is no matter what it looks like it will be faaaaaaaaaassssssssssssssssssssst!:icon_biggrin:
I owned a Valkyrie for 10 years and loved it. I could not wait to see if Honda would resurrect the Valk so I bought an F6B instead. I'm glad I did cause the radiator 'shoulder pads' and Rune headlight arrangement are simply hideous.
Checkout the Real Honda propaganda, I mean promotional information, at powersports.honda.com.
Nice looking bike, but I enjoy my music, storage and windshield too much, plus I think the F6B looks nicer.

Ditto on both. I really like it but there's nowhere to put all my junk!Quote:

I like it... Too bad I'd need another job, an extra garage stall and even more time to ride....
Went over to the vrcc(valkyrie riders cruiser club) to what they think about this new valk and
It's a split decision about 50/50 on whether theyd buy one or not
Some nots said theyd rather have a f6b:icon_biggrin:
I feel the same.
When I first saw it I liked it, and if I didn't already have F6B I may have thought differently. The first thing I would need to get for it would be the windshield, then saddlebags. I think those would ruin its athletic looks, plus it would start to look more and more like F6B, at least in a profile. And I already have F6B.
I do like the blue one. I just don't see myself buying one right now. The experience of riding one should be similar to F6B but with less coverage and some less weight (about a hundred pounds, give or take). No music, though.
I feel like if I wanted a cruiser I would buy something else just for a different riding experience (why I still have my VRSCF with bags and fairing with music).
Now if money was no object...
:shhh:
Yamaha has introduced their NAKED bike to compete with this Naked Goldwing Valkyrie
I currently own a Bking and yes it is a beast. I'd love to run against the new Valk in the future. :bf8::bf8: I do like this new valk with all the modern sleek styling in an all business package and yes I want one.
I'm really digging Honda's return to the standard style comfortable street bike. They've released so many new models it's starting to feel like the early 80's all over again.
