Picked up my new F6B yesterday....love it! Just wanted to ask which exhaust system would you recommend for the bike. There are a lot to choose from it seems but they are not cheap...lol. Just want to make the best choice the first time! Thanks.

Am looking forward to seeing and hearing these at the Rally :motorcycle2:
Most likely I'll be ordering a set w/loops thereafter :shhh:
Wish I could be there so I could listen in on taxfree's system. Got my TBR's yesterday and the Torq Loopz get here Wed. I like the sound of the TBRs over the Rush, Monster Ovals, Cobras, etc. In person has to beat YouTube but taxfree's videos made me do it.
Keep em stock.
TBR - Black. $679.00

Thanks! Just trying to find a good sound but not wanting to sound like a Honda civic at the same time. There seems to be several good choices out there.
Lol
Just still want the bike to sound like a bike. I may just leave it stock..lol
I HAVE THE VANCE AND HINES MONSTER OVALS ON MY 2013 F6B AND FIND THEY GIVE A NICE SOUND NOT TO LOUD AND AT CRUISING SPEEDS THEY ARE MELLOW AND NO DRONE.
I have the 2016 with black pipes as well.
I installed the TBR chrome with torque loops about a month ago. The sound is unique & special for a motorcycle in a very good way. I get many compliments for cagers & bikers alike. Last one was from a prestine dodge challenger owner at the stop lights. They are a little loud but you get used to them. I especially love love love the low back pressure popping sound at deceleration.
Is there a sound clip of this decel popping? cueman
Taxfree has it in his thread after install already. you can see &hear it there.

Stock. I try not to annoy people until after I've gotten off the bike. :icon_razz:
Freedom Performance with quiet baffles sound really good.

Just finished installing Two Brothers slip-on exhaust coupled with a set of Torue Loops and could not be happier with the results. I tried the TBR exhaust without the Torque Loops and the drone was terrible between 2,000 and 3500 rpms. The exhaust sounded great when firing up the bike, and while blipping the throttle. However, when at cruising speed the drone was the worst I have ever experienced. While researching options to address this problem I came across Torque Loops. I decided to give it a try as I did not want to go back to the stock set up. That was the beat decision I could have made. The combination works beautifully together. Under heavy acceleration the F6B sounds like no other bike I have heard. I took it by my local motorcycle shop and the manager was blown away, he started calling everyone down to check it out. No one at the shop was familiar with the product and everyone was blown away by the symphony bellowing from the carbon fiber exhaust tips. On the highway the bike is as quiet as the stock set up, but as you roll on the throttle it is a completely different animal. There is a noticeable increase in torque and the bike acceleration feels much smoother. Completely extinguished the first gear stumbling I had grown used to. I am sharing this information as I have seen a number of people asking questions and searching for a proven exhaust set up. I am shocked with the performance gains the Torque Loops provided. And as an added bonus, Torque Loops took every decibel of drone away that was created after installing the TBR slip-on’s. I am confident that this is by far the best combination available at this time.
 to Smokey's post. The combo of the TBR's and the Torq Loopz is perfect for me. NO DRONE, just the right blend of growl and guts but the neighbors still sleep if I leave at 4am.
Did you guys lose engine braking after installing the torque loops and the TBR's?
Will............
With that set-up, you never want to apply the brakes! :yikes:.........I have seen no engine braking issues at all. Get a hacksaw, cut those cats off, and blast off. I would recommend that anyone should take off the plastic shroud covering the headers and check "their nuts", whether you add Torq Loopz or not. When I did mine, 4 of the 12 were loose to the point that one easy turn and I could take them off by hand. Obviously not torqued well at the factory. Taxfree4 found the same issue.
If you are getting "Jake brake" effect, your pipes are too dam small.
You are using extra power just to turn the engine over "Parasitic drag."
All engines use power just to run, but you do not want use any more than necessary.
I guess I'd really have to ride both exhaust systems (TL's/TBR's) and the the stock OEM to really determine the difference.
I was looking at the TBR's on Wingstuff.com and there are some bad reviews about them; regarding the fitment and the quality that some people have received recently. :shhh:
The problem with returns is that you may end up receiving someone else's return when you order. Sort of sucks to pay for a new item and then be shipped one previously owned.
As an aside, I will be carefully scrutinizing my ElliptiGO when it arrives this Saturday via Fedex from Kalifornia. If it was a previous return... it's getting shipped right back to them. :nono:
I like the look of the cobra's and the sound.

What was the difference between the 2014 and 2015 exhausts? I have a 2015 with black exhaust. Does this sound different from 2014 and 16 and 17? I've been told that they are better, but I've no idea why. Sounds fine to me. Sort of rumbley at idle and some rumble otherwise. I always wear earplugs... So I am not one to judge.
I replaced the chrome on my ‘14 with the black from the ‘15. The black pipes are throatier and have a little more rumble in them. I especially like the sound as the bike is decelerating and engine braking. That’s when the nice rumble shines. The chrome OEM pipes were definitely quieter, though I wouldn’t say the black are loud.
I have been the very proud owner of a set of TBRs and I assure you, you will not regret buying them! its a symphony of 1832ccs forced through two Billy D. Williams clones :icon_razz:
I have the Cobra Six-2-Six with all baffles in and there is no drone - none. I have had many cars and bikes 50+ and changed many exhaust systems. I know about drone and can tell you that my bike does not have it. It is loud though. I am very pleased with the looks, quality, build and sound.
Amen on that!!!!
It's just the right pitch and loudness so they know it's a big motorcycle, but still without pisssin off my three neighbors (too much) when I start it early on Saturday and Sunday mornings.... My house shares a driveway with these guys, and I am the one furthest from the street... It's also all up a steep hill to the street.... :icon_lol: VROOM!
+1 for torque loopz, no drone an wonderful sound!
blotar
Wonder how the '15-'17 mufflers, w/ torque loops would sound. I'm sure the cats tone down the mufflers a lot. Anybody tried that?
