Generally agreed--I love my Roadcrafter 3--but above about 80 degrees it just gets swampy inside... even with the Hand Wings I just don't get enough airflow into the suit to keep me reasonably cool. Above 100 degrees it's plain torture. I even had to take it off in the Sierra foothills when the temps hit 106. I thought I was gonna stroke out!

I had to retire my standard Roadcrafer when I moved to Florida. I went to a Roadcrafter light jacket with AD1 Light pants. I can layer up in the 40's in winter and am comfortable until the mid-high ninties. I do not find mesh gear any cooler. In fact the synthetics seem to be less breathable than gortex. I just roll down the collar, and unzip a the top and bottom with the under arm vents wide open. I lighter color helps too. I went with tan. Gives it that Carhart look.
