    F6B would not start!

    A heads up to all on the forum. I came out the other morning to jump on the B and head to work as I do every morning. I have 2015 F6B Deluxe that I got new. anyway, the starter spun up but no engine catch? I checked everything I could think of. In Gear, Fuel, fuel off switch in on position etc. nothing. So I go inside and call dealer who tells me it may be a starter problem, but he is so backed up it may take a week to look at. anyway, I go back out and try again, and still nothing. started spinning strong, but engine not catching and THEN I tapped the top of the fuel off/on switch on the handlebar and bingo, she started up right away. Go Figure? I never use the fuel off/on switch as the Honda Handbook says to leave it in the run (on) position and use key to cut off engine. anyway, she is running flawlessly again as usual. but from now on I am using the fuel of/on all the time.

    Is that the same as the kill switch?

    In California, they can't call it a "kill switch" - too many people would be offended!

    imscots: yes, yours is one of a handful of bikes that have had this issue.
    Are you, by chance, near the salt water, or do a lot of riding on the coast?

    A little preventive maintenance will go a long way in those environments.
    Electrical contact cleaner and some di-lectric grease on the contacts.

    kill switch

    Exact same thing happened to me last Sat.only I was a 100 miles from home,after turning kill switch off and on several times she fired up, no problems since!

    John in northern MS is replacing his ignition pulse generator this weekend. He had a 19 flash error code and it sounds like the same problem. Turns over but won't fire.

    Code 19 is NOT the Ignition Pulse Generator!
    It's the Crankshaft Position Sensor.
    What does he hope to achieve by replacing the IPG?

    Yep, I've posted this a couple of times now.
    My 2013 model had the same problem early in its life and it was the CKP sensor, simply got it replaced (about $120au) and 60,000km down the track, no problem.
