I would spray the bolts flat black too. That thing is large and takes away from the look of the bike, but if you use it often, who cares?

I looked and looked for the MP3 ? rack that taxfree4 has but to no avail and didn't want the chrome bling out back so I went with Dale's.

Acorn nuts would work if you use all thread rod the correct length. Better would be to use button head bolts, much nicer sloped fit from the edges and tightened with an Allen wrench. Need to be black making them harder to find but you can paint em. I paint small areas with a black permeate marker sometimes. Easy to touch up when needed. However the color does not matter if you remove it when not in use as I would.

I have to agree. While it may have some utility.....it looks as though some shade tree hack cobbled it together from the crap laying around out back of his garage.

Makes me wish Honda had put the antenna a little further back so we could go real wide with the rack.

You can remove (just unscrew) the antenna, hook a wire from it to the metal rack, and it works pretty darn well.

I have an aluminum plate at the bottom of my trunk, and wired the antenna to it. Now, I just have a spring attached to the antenna that the trunk presses against when installed.

Here's the Dale rack with the Adventure Moto rack installed on it so I can add a GIVI VN 47 when the GF hits the back seat and brings along 30 lbs of "necessary" items.

Presently not having any issues with Photobucket posting the IMG coded pic.

Here's the old May photo of the Dale rack. PB is doing something weird with old images and I can't copy some of them. This is nuts to say the least.............
