Army combat boots - been wearing them since 1965 and they work great.
Flailing injuries are very common in a motorcycle crash and proper riding footwear addresses that injury potential with heal cups and padded ankles. Dress for the crash....not the ride.
Bates 3/4 with laces that never have to be used and a side zipper most of the time. Sometimes just my Skechers.
I wear Bates Durashocks. They are actually a duty boot, similar to jump boots. They are lace-up with a side zipper and they come in wide sizes. I buy mine from "The Working Person's Store" online. About a hundred dollars. They wear forever, take a good shine, and are comfortable to walk in
Sidi Canyon for LD rides and cooler weather. For my general around town and short trips in the heat I have my Sidi Blades. Both very comfortable and no problems shifting like some .
