A Bridgestone Driveguard has a 1200 lb load index.... Thats about 50% more than any motorcycle tire. It also is a runflat with very durable sidewalls. I wonder what the weight of the 2 riders together plus the weight of the bike divided by 2 was putting pressure on the rear and front tire. Most Goldwings would be overloaded or close to it on a standard OEM front tire and rear OEM if the 2 riders are large people. 900 + 220 + 180 =1300 / 2 =650 lbs per tire..... not even close to a Driveguard RF rear. I want the security of my CT. I now have my original OEM rear back on while getting a new Driveguard after 29,000 miles on the old one. I do not like the feel of the OEM after using the OEM for the last 1,000 miles. CT for me.... much safer.
