Also, the trunk is "optional" in the F6b versions. It seems somehow that if you added the option and insisted on keeping all the original parts, you would have both.

Didn't see a price for the option ...

Oops, JimmyT already found the price - $900.

The question is, will this kit allow quick attach/detach or must all this hardware be removed every time you take the trunk off.

Hondas and Kawis and Zukis and Yammys...Oh my!

If it's not a "Quick Release" trunk .....
I'm sure that some of us can come up with something that looks factory and would make it a quick release.
I have some experience in this field

If you look at the pictures of stickered bike that was tested by Rider Magazine it's a full wing/ touring model with no truck mounted on it. I don't know maybe that bike is a one off for testing. But it would seem truck removal is option.

Both of the Gold Wings, the Gold Wing and the Gold Wing Tour, were ridden at the test ride with the stickers all over them.

It sounds very sporty, almost like a different engine. That aggressive 24-valve head added some panache to the ol' 1800.

The DCT shift points look seamless in the video, and according to riders.
    Former Ride:
    2013 F6B Standard, black; sold 7/2019
    Latest Addition:
2016 Gold Wing Level 3, red; SCT transmission stuck in manual mode
    2019 Miles:
    7,900 as of 10/6

It is a completely new engine. Still a flat 6 1800 but a new engine.

I just read in one of the bike magazine articles that it is a 4 hour job to remove the trunk. Seems excessive to me....

Yeah forget that... it's not even worth it. What about the air filter? I haven't heard anything about that yet.
