    Cool Progressive rear shock 465

Well, thanks to 'Indadman' and 'Pago cruiser', my suspension is getting sorted!

I've just received the rear shock at a nice price delivered, new bike parts are like a dirty magazine... you open, stare and drool

    Lookit..

The length of the preload adjuster had me scratching my head, Indadman had said under rear left and I must admit I was confused... but the length means you don't have to take the side cover off to adjust. Scanned the install pages for reference, wasn't able to find this on the net, so hopefully it helps explain to those interested.

I've put a tow hitch on mine, so I may have to put a longer bolt to take car of the preload adjuster mount. I'm also going to cut a plastic oil bottle up so it sits behind the adjuster and directly below to protect it a bit. The spring allows for more preload if you need it and the tool is provided. About 15-20mm of preload adjust available as I tested on table...

Now... springs and Fred's DVD to come.... Christmas is early boys!

Did you buy the factory length or the 1” lower?
