You don't have the 1/2'' thickness required for those so I don't think those will work.
Agree. Just drill a hole and use a simple rubber grommet as 2wheelsforme recommended. Many of us do it that way and it works well.

Who you calling an a hole? "Don't "over engineer" a hole"
I would fear allowing water into my cubby if I put an unsealable opening in the lid. Please note you can access the cubby from below with no penetrations.
There are two things I want to achieve.
1. To be able to quickly disconnect the GPS and remove.
2. To be able to run the two wires ( power and audio ) and end up with a clean look and not like this.
Right now I am leaning towards using the left storage compartment and somehow be able to put the two wires in and out easily with having to ride with the lid open.
Somehow I need a window that I can open and insert the two wires and close the lid and not really allow water to enter.
p.s.: the Wing above is on EBay right now. $10,000.xx
You could run your wires going out the bottom of the left cubby (easy and unseen) and up the bar to the GPS mount and put a quick connector there. You can get many types but a simple one is like what is used for a trailer to auto wiring connection. I have two, one for my battery tender and one for my heated gear. Still don't understand why the mount needs to be removable and removing the GPS unit when away from the bike is not enough. You in a place where the mount will get stolen without a GPS in it? I spent a winter in Kincardine and learned to downhill ski up by Owen Sound not far from you. Many years ago.
