    Post passenger back rest riser on the cheap

    I've got about $18.00 in to this riser including long bolts and the paint. drilled 2 holes through a piece of aluminum bar stock cut at 4" long, rounded the back corners to some what match the base, painted It satin black and done.

    Looks as good as the piece I bought off Ebay, does same thing as long as thick enough not to flex.

    It's 1 1/4 x 3 x 4 . Actually the 1.25 might be a little over kill. 1" would probably be fine. It was what I had so ......

    Yep . I rounded the back edges to try to match the base. It seems to be pretty solid. Haven't had a chance to test it out on a ride yet but the wife said it felt good just sitting on the bike.
