    New HID headlights with angel eyes

    Anyone considered buying these ? A bit pricey for me but you never know what Santa Claus comes up with

    I like them. The kit seems very complete. I imagine the replacement housing is a major reason for the high cost. But at a thousands bucks, too expensive for me.

    I love them, but man, I got to draw a line somewhere. I'll pass on it. But on the other hand, if it were for maybe $300 I might reconsider.

    I wonder how the high beam will work when switched from low beam since HID bulbs do not light up instantly. Some conversion kits only supply low beam HID bulbs. Some factory HID systems mechanically move the reflector to switch to the high beam.

    To answer this inquiry, I had originally changed out all four of my headlights, making both low beams and high beams into HID lights. After a coast to coast ride, and experiencing the start-up time of the high beams, I decided to eliminate the HID high beams, and went with PIAA Super White bulbs in the high beams.

    The problem was that the HID high beams just took too long to come up to full illiumination...even if that is 5 seconds...when you need a high beam instantaneously.
