I guess I've just been kidding myself

I bought the F6B not as a cruiser, but to travel on. I thought the stock seat was going to work, but after another 500 mile day trip to visit grandkids, not happening. I'm going seat shopping this week

I'm either going back to the RDL, or getting an Ultimate. Do you use a backrest on your RDL. I never did on the RDL, and never missed it as the seat was just plain comfortable. I bought an extra stock seat a couple of weeks ago for $100 (knowing in the back of my mind I would probably wind up with an RDL) I'd like to talk to someone who has had both of these seats to give me their opinion.

I think the Mustang is the best looking of the three, compared to the RDL and the Ultimate, but it doesn't appear to be a touring seat to me.

    No B-rest on my RDL.

I'd most likely opt for an aftermarket b-rest than the RDL b-rest, simply because of the way the seat looks w/o the backrest,,, (Big 'notch' left open due to the way the RDL b-rest slides horizontally into the receiver under the pillion,,, Had one on my VTX)

You're not alone there. I've known several guys that liked them too. I guess I let RM seats slip my mind. Happens more often than I care to admit as I get older.

No problem with 12 hours saddle time on the stock seat for me. It ain't pretty but I find it very comfortable.
