    In the usual place.

It's fun to watch the gauge and the Handgrip Heat lights on startup.
Memorize that pattern...if it should change, something maybe unhappy.
    Another data point.

This gauge wires directly to the Battery Accessory terminals, not to the Heated Grip power.
In fact, as of yet, the gauge is mounted but I haven't run the wires over to the other side... I'm waiting for one other component to arrive before diving into the wiring... I want to do them both at the same time.

It does bring up a question though... I assume that since there is no connection between the two, the back-light on this gauge will not dim or brighten along with the rest of the dash when adjusted. Correct?

Yes, I ran mine to the Accessory Terminal. Not to the Heated Grip power.
But the Heated grip light show and the voltmeter indications are part of the startup show. Very cool.

The back light will not be on the dimmer. But it's red and way down low. Hasn't been a factor for me.
    Cheers,
    Steve

    Found it here: http://motor55.com/index.php?route=p...&product_id=92

Really liked the look of it. They are in China, so the shipping time was a bit long (customs), and they insisted on a signature on delivery (so I had to go pick it up at the post office), but I really liked the look of the gauge. Price was right too ($32.50 USD), and it included harness and wiring (to the ACC terminals).

    Thank you!
It has a striking, kinda bold look to it. I like it also. I've been putting off getting one, but I like this one. I guess I'll spend a little Christmas money.

    [Edit] - DONE!

    HeliBars... Yay!

Okay, so I didn't do it today, but about a week ago.
And I gotta say the past few hundred miles, including several runs up and down the hill out of Phoenix on I-17 to AZ-69 and back... have been so nice! I think I'm probably 95% dialed in and the left-side shoulder blade pain that usually creeps in is nowhere to be found.

It took me about 5 hours start to finish, including putting all the tools away and cleaning up.
The instructions were pretty good, above average, and included lots of pics... some better than others.
Fit and finish are hella good! I'd say very, very high quality. Not disappointed at all.

I've a group ride planned from Phoenix to Death Valley next month and am so looking forward to giving my new bars a proper workout. Very excited about that!

Would I recommend them? Yes! Yes! And, yes!

Ordered a new 2017 spare rear black rim and tire take off from FleaBay. Time to save some $$$ on tire changes.

    Air Filter

Finally took the time to change out the air filter a week or so ago. Wasn't that bad of a job to complete. Filter was pretty dirty at 25k.

    RDL, finally!

Took a ride on my new RDL seat...love it! I tried to keep costs down a bit and didn't do anything fancy (all vinyl, no heat, & solo refurbish). No regrets, it extends riding time so definitely worth it.
