Took my first run out since September 2014! Yes it's been that long, and last night we had fresh snow on the hills. but my love for my F6B is well and truly alive

I did the knob install on "Blackie" last night and I could not be happier.
One on the glove box lock and one on the side bag lock.
Here is the end result.

I had installed a nice digital voltmeter.
It worked perfectly, but I was disappointed in its daytime illumination. It was washed out by the sunlight and was hard to read, especially with my helmet sun visor down.
Today I installed a really nice analog illuminated waterproof marine voltmeter. The new analog voltmeter matches the stock dash gauges much better than the blacked out face of the digital meter.
I bought it here:

You can see the 4 leads from the voltmeter. I spliced them (solder and heat shrink tubing) to a DC waterproof quick connect so that I can easily remove the right cover should need require.

The blue wire splices to the black (negative), the red wire is positive.
Notice that I have an orange wire also spliced to the positive. That is the illumination wire, providing red backlighting.
The loose yellow wire is for splicing if I want yellow backlighting.

I just moved Isleen around the barn a bit....today was "jack and polish" for Saorla.
She got a full bath and then a detail down to q-tips in neglected places. Ran out of steam before I could do all her spokes.
Not looking too bad for a 20 year old grand dame.

After installing my new General G-Max Car Tire yesterday I hooked up with my Sister and Brother-In-Law and went for a little 135 mile trek along portions of the Delaware River That nice ride removed the "Mold Release Agent " from the new Max. Now looking to get 30+K miles as I did from the first Max.
