From Hyampom over the legendary Hwy 36 in California, down to Clear Lake. 281 solo miles on this Suzuki 250. No helmet, no windshield, no leathers, but at least long pants and boots. Yes, the dog rode in that box the entire route. I was 22.
(Now don't get your knickers in a knot commenting about the hair curlers, guys. That was the way we made those outrageous hair styles of the late '60s!) The VW Westfalia was my folks' RV. And this was taken in Ojai, California.
