I like it better, and I think this position along with this shield is the best position I have tried for eliminating noise and turbulence. I look several inches over it.

    +1
I've been riding behind a BaggerShield for some time now. I recently got a Madstad, and though it's only been installed for a few days and several hundred miles, it is definitely a step up from the fixed shield. I do believe the airflows work as Madstad claims. See my recent thread about this HERE.

You will most likely be happy with either choice.

Madstad is the real deal. I'm frankly stunned at how well it works, and I think the dark tint looks great on the bike.

I *think* Madstad has a fair return/exchange policy but you might wanna call and check. I'd try the 11" first (unless you're as tall as Sasquatch) and hopefully be able to exchange for a 13" if needed.
I'm 6 feet and 34 inseam. Going by Madstads instructions a 13" is what I need. Any comments. Don't want to look thru shield.

Hmm, so you're all leg and no torso

All kidding aside, I'd be hard pressed to say which would be better for you... 11" or 13"... considering too that you're placing emphasis on not looking through it. I'm 5'10" with 32" inseam, and it seems the difference in our heights is mostly in the leg; if this is true, we might have the same "head height" when seated on the bike.

With my 11" Madstad adjusted all the way UP I can see the ground about 30 or 40 feet in front of the bike. As someone else who doesn't like looking through a shield, I'm satisfied with that. With the 13" Madstad adjusted all the way DOWN, would you still be able to see 30 or 40 feet? Possibly, but I really don't know.

Seems like a tough call DW; but hope that helps.

EDIT: I have the OEM seat btw.

Thanks, I sent Madstad an email asking what they suggest. If you get a chance could you give me a vertical measurement of the shield all the way up. A good reference point is from the flat spot by the small Honda logo on the dash.

I like the way you think; I also like using the Honda logo for reference.

I see about 15.5" with my 11" in the up position; of course this varies a little bit with the rake adjustment. It's very close to the height of a large Clearview, which I also use on the bike.

    DaWadd,

I have the 13" Madstad (clear). I'm 6'01" tall, 32 inseam. I first installed the WS all the way up and at the recommended 60 degrees. IMO, it worked to too well. Very little wind. I lowered the windshield about an inch and set it to 55 degrees to get a little more air/windflow.
Even with it all the way up, I still looked over it.

I can tell you this; absolutely no buffetting.

It did take a while to get used to the separated (two piece) windshield and I know it's not as sleek at the others, but I forget about that when I ride. I'm now used to it. I bought the clear because I figured it was less noticable.

    Hope this helps.

Why do you use both Clearview and Madstad? Is there a purpose, or do you just like to change it up a bit sometimes?
