Oilfield engines....Everything from 220 cubic inches to 7042 cubic inches. Natural gas. One of the guys had been there 21 years. The lady that did the reports and billing had been there 36 years. It's in the cards that whatever goes up fast will come down fast. Hotel owners built and built and added on. Now, of course they can't rent out a room because everybody is getting laid off. I probably won't work at a brake check for $8 an hour either. CCAD (Corpus Christi Army Depot) took a big hit a few weeks ago too. When I tried to apply for food stamps just to help a little, they said I made to much money. With my wifes job and my retirement they said I could sell one of my cars to help pay for food. That, my friends is where being honest will get you nothing. Unemployment will make the bike payment and the car payment. If I have to eat pb & j, the bike stays. I'm sure that some of us older folks remember years ago when someone raised prices it usually went up 3-4%. Now it's anywhere from 10-80% depending on the product....Ouch. I'm off my soap box. Thanks guys.
