No disrespect to any Veterans in the following statement.
I have total respect for all of you.
This holiday is often misunderstood as a day to give thanks to living Veterans.
Although they should be thanked every day(today being no exception),this day is not about them.
Their day is November 11th of every year.
Memorial Day is about memorializing/honoring all the soldiers that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
    God bless all!

In Canada we remember our fallen soldiers on Nov. 11. It is called, very appropriately, Rembrance Day.
