FWIW, I just discovered that Garmin offers a trade-in/upgrade program for selected old GPS's.

I called Garmin and asked what the trade in was for a StreetPilot 2820 (which Garmin no longer supports) for a Zumo 590LM (other Zumo's may also apply @ their respective rates). They asked for the serial number of the old device and then quoted a 40% trade in discount (retail $899.99 reduced to $539.99) for the Zumo 590LM (lifetime map upgrades), quick release ram mount and motorcycle harness (does not apply to TPMS sensors or other accessories).

Granted, I think $540 should be the normal retail price, but it is a lot better than paying full pop of $900.

This program does not appear to be advertised on the web and is available via call-ins.

Hope this helps with those that have older unsupported GPS's.
