I've never had my seat off, I will have to check the seat bolts. My cubby on the left side of the fairing doesn't open easily either, I wonder what is wrong with it?

The cubby may not be seated properly either. See that the cubby flanges sit flat on all sides when in position, then insert the push pins.

BUT the door button doesn't necessarily return to flush [ if this is your issue ] until the lid is pressed down and latched.

When I push the button the lid doesn't pop up, I have to pull it up from the sides. I will try to reseat it tomorrow.
