For those with First Gear jackets---question

I take the liner in and out often and just noticed that on the sleeves are different color loop straps---red and gray. Does that denote how they fasten to the loops in the sleeves? They both are the same distance and buying it used I did not get a manual.

The different colors are to help you not to end up with a twisted up sleeve. The loops and snaps have corresponding colors. Trust me, you can still end up with a twisted sleeve. Now it has 2 rotations.😳

Me too, Jay. That is why I asked the question. The straps are different colors but the loops are all the same. I knew why the straps are different, but with the loops being the same I couldn't understand why go thru the trouble????? I guess you look at the position before you install it and go from there.

Another crazy thing has happened!!!!! On both sides, the sliding (connecting/unhooking) part of the zipper is gone. I took the liner out and on both sides they are gone. Never had one where they will slide off at the end and get lost. This ever happen to any of you?

    Thanks for the help guys.

How you know when you own too much

I found the problem with the jacket. I have a number of Tour Master for me and the wife as well as my First Gear, and today I found the correct liner by accident. It appears that I was trying to install a TM liner in my FG jacket. Yep---I got too much stuff.
