    You want to see waste....join the military. I was an airman back in the 70's and couldn't believe some of what I saw. I can only imagine that it's worse today with the laziness of the generation out there now.

    Don't see where this is a waste, mission was still accomplished and he got his bagel down without the sun in his pie hole.

    If they were tacking at a wider angle, they would be expending more fuel to get to the destination (taking the twisties versus the super slab).

    Pennies in the overall scheme of things. You could also say they took longer to get to port so had to serve another meal which made the costs higher.

    You obviously haven't paid the fuel bill on a boat.

    I used to have a dive boat. I would take other divers out from my dive club. One gal gave me $5.00 to cover fuel and I just smiled at her.
