Which Senator was shutting down the government? A Senator carries one vote. They are powerless to shut down the government. But I definitely see a President that shuts down the government. His one veto can and does shut the government down. I think there might be that wool thing going on here. The media is good at that.

Aah each to their own, 50 people 50 different ideas. We haven't had a good track record in the past, and you are quite right, the real problem as i see it is coming from the South Chine Sea.

    Best of luck

I am am democrat and don't appreciate being called an idiot just because we have an ideological difference on how the country should be run. Maybe you should pull your own head out of your ass and realize that not one party has all of the answers, it should be more of a blend between different views which give this country the best result.

Personal attacks should not be allowed on a forum like this, nothing are facts just opinions of members. Hopefully the moderators are paying attention to this thread.

    Sadly

Sadly we need someone of the caliber of Thomas Jefferson, but have failed to produce anyone even close to his abilities. We are left with a mishmash of people to vote for that have a very slim chance of pulling this country out of the destruction its heading for. Voting for anyone of these people that are running is just a crap shoot. Our wish is to get our country back on track with a bank of leader that have very little chance of accomplishing this goal! Grant well said. That is why a lot of us on here will not post to political forums because of the "IF you don't think like me you are a idiot attitude".Old thinkers only hate social programs unless it is being used by them like Social security,Medicare,VA which all us pay for in one way or another.Police and fire, public schools all funded by Tax payers for the betterment of all.Nothing is perfect as I have always had to vote for the lesser of two evils. And anyone who thinks it has been the last 7 years that have damaged us must have short term memory for the 40+ in front of it.I do not belong to any party and try to vote for who I think will do the least amount of damage but after watching that last Republican debate I was wondering if there was any civility left-I guess not so do not expect it here.

Hillary had one job to do - and she couldn't even do that, a subcontractor had to finish.

If social programs that I am paying into are being raped by deadbeats that didn't pay into them and have no desire to pay into them, should I be concerned? Or, do I just say oh well that's the way it is....so sad....too bad. No 'old thinkers' want social programs eliminated as you so eloquently surmise. But some just get plain tired of giving their money to selfish unthankful pricks. If you don't know how corrupt the welfare system is, I have a good buddy in HPD undercover that can tell you some stories while we sit around the camp fire snackin on some s'mores.

No personal attack intended....The Democrats I was referring to are the two that are currently running....Obviously you can see I am a Republican and always will be, but just do not agree with the liberal policies of the Democratic party....I am not naïve about what is happening to America, and at 76 years old could care less about being liked by all.....Again, please take no personal attack because of your views and party choice.....Ride safe
