    long solo ride

    First of all I am new here hi all. Second aking for any thoughts about a long solo ride going to see my son in Jersey for the weekend I live in Swansea Mass
    its about a 4 and a half hour ride and I have a Honda shadow aero. just a little nervous.

    OH and Did I mention that the drivers on the Garden st parkway are nuts lol.

    Good luck on your ride and enjoy....But are you sure your on the right web-site...Mostly info on the Honda F6B Goldwing is on this board and not Shadow's.....But welcome anyway!!!!

    You mean a sort solo ride. Anything less than 3 tanks of fuel fall into the short category. That's an easy ride. Enjoy and welcome.

    Shrek--I don't think anyone would consider this trip a long one, even on an Aero. However, riding in Jersey can be a bit "dicey" on any bike. Good luck!

    Thanks hornblower maybe I'm just overthnking the ride. And like the previous thread I know it's tough driving through jersey and the garden st parkway is what I'm concerned about.

    Wear something bright and take your time. Keep as much distance around you as possible, if possible. Expect everyone around you is about to do something stupid.
    You'll be fine.
