    Round Two of Cervical Epidurals

Okay, I have to spell that out for Hornblower...(Ken)...they are sticking a long needle into my neck. Whew...glad to be past that description

Another day, another visit to the doctors office, or in this case...to the hospital. Today is round two of cervical epidurals, to try to deaden a nerve that is being pinched by the foraminal stenosis between C-6 and C-7 on the left side of my neck. The first time this was done, a couple months ago, it did not improve the situation. We are hoping for better results today.

This is one where they have to inject a dye into my system, watch it under an x-ray machine, and once the dye indicates the correct pathway that they want to inject into, then they shoot me up with a nerve killing agent (boric acid...arsenic...nide...something like that)

I am in and out of the hospital in about 3 hours.

Oh well...between all these doctors visits, and my bike being in the shop right now for lightning repairs, it gives those folks in the Southeast a chance to catch up to me in their riding mileage.

I get it already You didn't mention the exact length of the needle...I'm assuming it's 1.314159" long. That about right? Seriously, I hope that all goes well and gives you some relief. Keep us posted!

I was hoping the lightning bolt might have cauterized any recalcitrant nerves. I hope this procedure helps. Best wishes.

Thanks, Mike. Two hours after the procedure, and it already feels better than the first time. I am hopeful that this time it will work.
