The guy representing the VA/GNC was on point yesterday. Truly had his shit in one sock. The way he escorted the widow up the walk....the way he handled the Navy honor guard... His comments to the family at the end of the service....everyone was commenting on how shit hot he was.
He told the widow he was a Vietnam Vet as well and as soon as he said that I thought, "Marine" lol
Sure enough, after the service, we were furling the flags and he asked me if I was a Marine. I said, "No. I just love Marines." He said, "Well, thank you for loving me. Semper Fi." ))))
What a moving event. You are in with a great bunch there, Teach.
Volunteering to be a part of "motorcycle escort" duty can be (and usually is) very rewarding.
Ride to eat events are great, but you can always eat after the service/ceremony.
