If you are not part of the solution, YOU are the problem.
Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty.

I have no love of Obummer and his failed polices nor the liberal, thieving, lying left!
I as a native Californian proudly voted Trump, but there again never let the facts get in the way of a good story.
Oh and I DON"T DO SNOPES they are one of the worst IMHO.

BigLry, glad you were able to set it straight, nice job.
I was in Normandy for the 2014 70th Anniversary of D-Day, and while I did not see your President there personally, I did see Air Force One on it's approach to it's landing in France, & did see part of Obama's speech while he was there on French television. I was able to visit all 5 beaches, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, Bastogne, and several other sites. There is more than enough going on there to fill a week for the visit around the area.
They have fields filled with WWII military vehicles like show & shines all over the region.
Guys with semi-trucks trailered their restored tanks, antiaircraft guns, tracked vehicles, jeeps, 6x6's, etc to these displays.
I watched tank races on Utah beach.
They have simulated military encampments, set up as bases, where people in WWII uniforms simulate WWII allied military bases.
There was a fantastic night time fireworks display on the night of June 5/6, to commemorate the opening naval bombardment. They had firework displays distributed along 25 sites all along the coast (I counted 12 in view from my vantage point on bluffs) - all electronically coordinated to fire the same fireworks in unison, along with a laser show.
French police motorcycle escort teams (too numerous to count) were zooming around all over the place to get international dignitaries from one place to another. That's one reason why I remember your President's attendance.
As a Jeep guy, I was amazed to see the number of WWII Jeeps there, but I reminded myself that the armies just left all that stuff behind after the war.
The Europeans celebrate the D-Day Landings respectfully, enthusiastically, and honourably.
If you haven't been, and have an interest, I highly recommend going.
