I thought to use a sponsor first for these, even though I don't use these particular pieces, but willtill informed me they wont work with a passenger backrest. I have used for 3 years consistently now the Show Chrome 52-802 tie downs without any problems and they specifically state they are not for the F6B.
If you want to use a net and the hooks are to small or you do not want scratch something.
Get some soft loops for tying bikes down and wrap them around the hand rails.
Amazon just lowered the price (even better if you're Prime):

I bought a Bikers Friend luggage bag and used the bungee's they provided. I tied the fronts on each hand rail and tied the rears to the rear part of the hand rail. I traveled to GA and back with no issue. Now, I wouldn't ride full time tied like that, because eventually you'll see some rubbing someplace. Someone said it raised the rear a bit which it did, but for a one week trip at a time, it would be fine and it will be my next time out.
“Gibraltar” 2016 white deluxe has been sold.
Watched taxfree4's YouTube video, ordered them via Amazon Prime, they arrived the same day, and this morning I mounted them and a bungee net.
First side took some fiddling; the second side went right on. Watch for the trunk latch mechanism -- the silver pin has to fit into the proper hole on the handle assembly. Also, hand-thread the front bolt first; that located the handrail so the second bolt can be installed easily.
A+ for the hooks and for taxfree4's suggestion.
