Here is how I have read the posts ….
Austin Tech posted …. "If there was enough interest" with a prototype design, he would see if his local embroiderer could do it for $25-$30. It's what we call fishing for interest to see if this would be a viable project to tackle financially.13 days later no one knew if Austin-tech was producing a hat or not ……. Until today (18 days later)we had no news if this design was a go or no go.
13 days later …..
Wingstuff committed financially and clearly stated that they were producing a hat "right now" that will be available for purchase in a couple of months. Wingstuff in the past has worked directly with HONDA to produce and sell "officially Licensed" merchandise. Wingstuff then proceeded to fine tune their design by asking what type of bands are preferred.
So if I understood the above posts correctly ….
Prior to today…..
One was fishing for interest and the other had committed to produce a hat.
No where on Austin-Techs post did i read anything related to FLEX or VELCRO, those were Wingstuffs design elements.
There is plenty of room for multiple designs in our market place. The more the merrier and when some of these products are donated towards the Rally for door prizes, it's a win-win for our membership that attend….. it's all good.
Last year HONDA Corporate and Honda of Russellville donated several very nice black hats that we gave away to Rally attendees. I'm sure that we'll see some of these latest designs at the Rally.
We already have been receiving products for our Annual F6B Rally, last year there were many fine products that were auctioned off (pay for rally expenses) and given away as door prizes.
