What's different and/or unique about the food over there?

Main things here are fish and lamb.
So hope you like one or both of these.

Well if not for the 26 degree and the snow, it reminds me of the big
Island of Hawaii. I guess that makes sense since both these islands �-re nothing but
tender boxes just looking for a reason to blow their tops.
Back on the big Island of Hawaii and here on Iceland you will see the what I call grasses covering
the black volcanic soil. To this day it blows my mind how the Vikings came to love and run a vibrant land.
It is true that this a small country and some of the friendliest people I have met, they seem to
go out of their way to help this old couple.
Going to the Bluend Lagoon here soon. will let you know what I think.

So are you the equivalent of Kona or Hilo side? :-)

KOno side for now, it has been 43 for a high and 23 for low.
Cloudy in AM and spots of sun in PM.
Salmon is great as is the lamb!

You know Teach.. I've been 'round the world and have seen mighty things, sampled intereting foods..

... but THAT I think I would pass over... poisonous shark flesh; made seemingly palatable by rotting it for several months? The horror...

Their native language is akin to several cats dying a slow painful death.
Other than that, it's gorgeous!
