Most of the time I tell them it's a young guys Gold Wing.
Or sometimes tell them it's a stripped down Gold Wing.

I say about the same. I'll tell them it's the Bagger version of the GoldWing, sans trunk and some other bits. I usually explain they have 3 models the Goldwing, the F6B (bagger) and the Valkryie or F6C for Cruiser. Mainly cause I have all 3 lol.

I had a guy ask me if it was a Road King, I just said no but it is the king of the road, but usually its just a F6b.
