Traffic lights won't trigger to green

Has anybody tried putting the kickstand down while waiting at the light. The steel that much lower down might trigger the magnetic field.

I use this trick all the time on my ST1300, works well for me. Haven't had an issue on the F6B but I haven't had it long either.
