Does anyone have these in their saddlebags?

If so, how do you like them? And what do you do about the straps that hold down your tool kit in the left bag? Cut slits in the carpet for the straps to go through?

Tool kit.. what tool kit? j/k I know F6B sold out of the US have tool kits.

I got a set made from indoor-outdoor carpet a member sent me, they were cut from a stencil he made(no slots for any tool kit straps). I belive there is a nice set of saddlebag liner stencils going around if you would like to make your own.

I recently had the Templates that BIGLRY is referring to... I have since forwarded them to the next requesting forum member.
You can access them in this thread.

I just laid them on the back of a nice Rubber Backed Door Mat that I found at Lowes ($7.00) and traced the Template with a silver sharpie.
Cut along the silver line and made these:

I must admit though, $19.95 for a pair of Edge Bound Carpet mats is a pretty good price too.
I just wanted something that wouldn't soak up and hold any water... hence the Rubber Backed Outdoor Carpet that I used.

In my case, the rubber strap in my bag is under that carpet (no need to cut any slots through, as it only holds down the Owners Manual), I have a much more robust "Roll-Up" toolkit that I keep in the other side.

Just my $.02.

Yep, I have them and like them, and no need to cut slits

I guess I should have pointed out that I don't have a stock toolkit, and as far as I know they don't even exist?
I bought THIS on Amazon a few days ago and plan to make my own toolkit, and was hoping to strap it down using the straps in the left saddlebag.

And for $20 I'd rather have the egde bound carpets and save myself the hassle of making some that will undoubtedly start to unravel at the edges. JMHO.

And $72 for the same thing except with the F6B logo is just ridiculous!

So are you saying the slits are already in the mats? Or that you don't need to cut them because you don't have a toolkit anyway?

As I understand it, the Honda factory toolkit was not standard on U.S. models, but were included in certain other imports.

That's why I got the rubber backed outdoor mat... no edge to unravel. But the main reason is that I didn't want it to soak up any water that might leak in.
$20 is a steal though, for sure.

Totally agree here. Anything more than $40 for carpeted mats, even in my car... is a deal-breaker!

I have those mats. I keep my owners manual in a pouch where the tool kit should have gone. The mat is made to be over that area so no need to cut or have slots in the mat.

do a search for saddle bag stencils - I made some out of a yoga mat, very nice.
