I never heard so many "snap, crackle and pops" while installing accessories. Just my honest opinion....but I do think I am going to love the smooth ride

(PS,......who in their right mind would GUESS to install a center stand, ONE bolt goes on CLOCKWISE while the other side goes on COUNTER CLOCKWISE....what ever happened to "righty tighty....lefty loosey"....?)
That is my only real gripe with the F6B. Not a Harley rider ( have ridden them) , but adding things to my Valkyries was a different experience . I've gotten used to the removal of plastic, but I feel like one wrong move and you're buying or gluing stuff. Don't like that.

Oh and did I mention America is probably the only country in the world that doesn't use Metric??
Wonder if their bikes made in India are Metric

Interesting read, thanks for sharing! I've learned way more about history in the last few years than I ever learned in school. It's fascinating.

    more chrome added today....

Spent the day installing a pair of GL1800 chrome engine guards and chrome valve covers to my black 2013 F6B....had a fun exploratory day...finding what covers, cowls and plastic had to be removed to take off stock engine guards....

But really like the looks of the end results with chrome valve covers, chrome engine guards and the chrome Ergo IIs with 6 inch arm and dually ISO pegs.....was worth the several hours of work.....

    sorry, no pics

sorry....no photos of teardown or install of new chrome engine guards......not really too difficult to remove plastic front cowls and right and left exhaust protectors....most difficult parts were reassembly of the left side exhaust protector and center inner cowl....

would be more than happy to post steps for anyone needing help to replace or repair engine guards.....1) remove center upper front cowl (just above the front cowl that surrounds the cam chain cover) 2 upper flat head plastic rivets are hardest to get to..two 5mm allen head screws and 2 round head plastic rivets are easy to get to...
    2) remove lower front cowl four 5mm allen head,,,2 in front and 1 on each side, easy part..
    3) remove both right and left exhaust protectors...below cylinder heads...both sides came off quite easy...1 bolt each side in front and two 10mm blind nuts on each side under exhaust.....but there are 4 rubber tipped metal tabs that wiggle loose when coming off....but are rather difficult to line up, all at once, when reinstalling the exhaust protector....
    4) engine guard bolts...3 on each side, can be removed with deep 12 mm socket....install new ones..and start reinstalling parts in reverse order.....I used another pair of hands to help line up the left and right side exhaust protectors...too long and too many tabs and other items to line up for one pair of eyes and hands

I took my time, went slow, didn't break anything and didn't have any parts left over...took about an hour to take cowls and covers off....half hour to install new guards....and about 2 hours to get all the covers back to where they are supposed to be ....
