Whats boots are your favorite for riding the F6B?

Coming off Harley's I have found that my big bulky motorcycle boots aren't the greatest for riding the F6B. The clearance between the shifter and the foot peg doesn't get along well with big clunky motorcycle boots so I've been wearing my tactical/military boots when riding the F6. My favorites so far for summer riding are my Oakley SI Assault Desert Boot. Good traction, light weight and easy to get under the F6Bs shifter.

Just wondering what boots are you favorite for riding the F6B and why?

I wear Bates Durashocks. Very comfortable, good ankle support, and a sole that's not too bulky. Breaking in my second pair now.

Alpinestars Web gore-tex. Extremely comfortable and light. Easy to get under/over the shift knob.

I stated wearing bates enforcers, I agree they are great and not so bulky.
(My department buys me a pair every year, which is cool too).

In the past I've always worn Black Leather, Lace up, steel Toe, paratrooper look, waterproof, wildland fire fighting boots.
They just are too big to comfortably get in around the f6b's shifter.

But the bates are not waterproof or water resistant, not even close.

Boots, ahh, I wish I could fit into those cool Italian Cruel Boots but alas, I can't find anything that fits my 3xE foot except maybe a yeti footprint. I did find a set of Clarks mid height work boots, super comfortable on/off the bike, that were well priced and in mandatory black of course. I've been very happy since.

I'd like to know who the heck is designing motorcycle gear. Most stuff, including boots, is ridiculous looking... boy-racer type stuff.

And what's the fascination with the color black for everything? Black is my favorite color for vehicles and garments, but c'mon, 90 degrees on a bike in black gear is not a good combo.

I'm leaning more towards the tactical police gear than dedicated motorcycle stuff.

Double-H Road Warrior 10" Harness boot. I wear them all the time, not just riding. Very comfirtable. Heel locks into the pegs to help relax.

No problem with the shifter, in fact I almost never miss shifts when I wear these. On occasion I wear low profile shoes (Vans) when doing a test ride around the block, I miss shifts like crazy.
