What boots do you ride in?
My two favorites! Unbranded so never a conflict when riding other types of motorcycles.

I'm trying a pair of Bates. Good ratings, water proof (really just resistant) a side zipper so easy on and off, available locally and best of all not too expensive. Boots have to black for me to like. http://www.batesfootwear.com/US/en/mens-tactical-footwear/

Tourmaster Riding Boots. Very comfortable and good protection.

I will never understand laces on a Boot for riding a motorcycle. I have seen shoe laces get caught and folks not able to get their foot to the ground at a stop.

Boy I like the way those look with the buckle and zipper. I would love to try those on to see if they could be made to fit my oddball shaped foot. Can't do online shopping for boots.

If you have a Cycle Gear around your area, they carry the Sidi brand.

Not a fan of buckles and flash myself.

I wear "Bates Durashocks". I have been wearing them for years. They wear forever, they have a side zipper, they give great ankle support and you can put a decent shine on them. Working Persons Store has them for about $100.00

I know they're not boots, but I'm wearing these:

Very comfortable.
I'd like to find similar boots.
Buckles are nice, but Velcro is a must for me.
Can't stand laces.

I have these: https://www.milwaukeemotorcycleclothing.com/boots/mens/riding-boots/trooper

I replaced the laces with these: https://www.hickies.com/

The zippers make the boot easy on and off, an the Hickies make it so that there are no dangling laces. When I crashed my bike last month (highside at 30mph) the boots stayed on my feet with no issues.

What brand are they?
I'm sorry, I should have put that in there.
They are Speed and Strength, and the style is called "Moment of Truth." Got them from Cycle Gear if I remember correctly. They may be an obsolete style now.

I had Gasolina make me a pair where the upper is over lapping and secured by four straps which allows the boot to be worn over or under your riding pants or suit. I have wider feet and these boots are comfortable and need no break in. The boots are nicely made but will not be water resistant. The boots are thin and flexible across the toes and work well with the restricted shifter room on the F6B and my CSC trike.

Only thing I own that's HD are my riding boots. Have worn well, side zipper with laces. But they're HD so need to move in a new direction because, well, you know . . . So next boot may be this Bates Adrenaline. Like the height and the protection and the fact the toe isn't too blocky and would fit under the shift lever well. But they're not giving them away . . . ka-ching.

Old pair of square nose 12 inch tall boots that have been resoled a couple of times and glued up a couple of time and I have had them since Columbus landed at Plymouth Rock. They work well and if boots could talk they would have more stories than you could shake a stick at. I bought them from a store at least 22 years ago. That's just a couple of days back for sure. Being 67 this year I think I got my moneys worth and they are still going. I owe their longevity to a boot saver that I used in the service and it kept the leather top notch all those years.

Danner - Fort Lewis

I have been wearing these boots for 12 years. I love them. A tough boot made for the military. It can go through hell and back and still be functional. Thick lugged sole. Soft inside.
Can get them with insulation if you want. I have found them to be waterproof. I have been soaked many times but never my feet. A great boot. An American company with a Great reputation. They are also very comfortable once broken in.

Yeah I wish I could wear riding boots, but I have yet to find any wide enough to fit comfortably. My best fitting shoes are Skechers in a 4E width. It looks like Bates makes that size but if you click on that width on their home page it show you what is available in that width, and none of them are riding boots. :(
I like the styles that have no laces, a zipper up the side covered with a velcro flap, waterproof, oil resistant/non-slip soles. It seems finding a boot with those specs in a width I need is next to impossible! I recently order a pair of boots from Competition Accessories that were supposedly wide, I couldn't even get my foot into them! Luckily I got a full refund. I agree with another poster that said he can't mail order boots. We need to be able to try them on first. There is not a lot of choice in my area. So yeah, I wear my Skechers when I ride, or my low rise hikers. Both have laces. :icon_doh:

Yes they were right size on for me. I wear Magnum boots for work and I had Cruiserworks in the past for riding Boots and all three are the same size.

i use both Milwaukee Trooper https://www.milwaukeemotorcycleclothing.com/boots/mens/riding-boots/trooper and Chippewa Boots http://www.sheplers.com/Chippewa-Motorcycle-Boots/320.pro

As I can't move my feet, these boots with the zippers and long openings make getting them on and off a breeze 'all/right'

Just went through the process. Had an old pair of Bates Riding Collection waterproof with the side zip. They were just regular boots, nothing special to make them motorcycle boots but......they were great regular boots. Always stayed dry and held up for almost 6 seasons. Actually would have lasted longer but the SO said they look nasty and had to go. So I started due diligence looking for a true motorcycle boot. After two months of research I wound up buying another pair of standard Bates waterproof w/ side zip. Could not find a "motorcycle" boot that I thought was worth it for under $400. So for a hundred bucks I've got me a pair of shiny new Bates.

The boots that I posted the link to are available in extra-wide widths. Mine are 9EEE, because I have wide feet.

I'm on my second pair of these. I got the waterproof ones because the weather in Texas changes in a New York minute. But they're SO comfortable I've taken to just wearing them as my daily shoes (I ride to work every day). I just bought my 3rd pair because the place I bought them last time was out of stock when I wanted to buy these. So I have an extra set sitting in the closet just in case. LOVE them.
