Good to hear Wayne.
I will be running out 84 to Hartford and up 91, so if you can't make Danbury then we can meet where ever you decide to pick up 84.

Dan, disregard the post I just did....I was on 91 instead of 84. Let me look again!

There's a rest stop north of where 691 meets 84. Southington Rest Area. It's 40 minutes from you. I can be there for 8:30. I can start my day a little later and not have to back track on 84.

I'd like to meet up with you at the 91/2 intersection. It looks like there is a McD, D&D, and Mobile station within a mile of the intersection. Will likely grab a coffee and then gas up and drink the coffee at the Mobile station. Will plan for 9:45 or 10:00 unless you direct otherwise.
Weather is looking fantastic.

That rest area on 84 in Southington is prefect Wayne. I have one other stop and should be there to meet you by 8:40

10:00 at the Mobil looks good Jim. That is the one on the right on RT2 just off the exit across from MacDonald's correct?

I'm not familiar with the area but according to google maps, it looks like an Irving station across Rt 2 from McD's. The Mobile is on 2A/Main st just east of the 91/2/2A rotary. East of the rotary on 2A is the Mobile station, dunkins, and a shell station. I don't have a gas station preference but I think Wayne prefers Mobile or Shell.

Just the rest area on 84 Ed, not the TA truckstop.

Guys got me a little nervous. I'm looking at the first exit I would see as I get on 84...there are trucks there, along with a separate auto parking area. Maybe 1/2 mile from the interchange. It was called Southington on Google maps.

When you come from 691 onto 84 there is a rest area 1/2 mi up. Is it not an exit just a rest area. That's where we'll be.

Greenfield is about 80 miles from that rest area. Just so you can figure for needed fuel.

This is a tired story here, but after sleeping on yesterday's ride, I'm loving this bike more and more. The reliability, smoothness...she just hums along and wants more. I'm surprised when I see a story from someone not happy, but I'm sure it's not perfect for everyone. I'm getting older and recovery isn't quick anymore, but I could do it again right now. This thing called work keeps getting in my way.

See, like I said, tired story....

That gal on the scooter amazes me. People, this lady, and she's a big girl, rode with us yesterday on a 400cc scooter from West Roxbury, MA, just outside of Boston. She did at least the same mileage I did. She has what we used to call "sack". We were in NY state at the furthest point. That thing must have been screaming at times, but she did it....

Wayne, Karen is a good friend that I have been riding with for years and she has over 60,000 miles on that 2005 Majesty and that is not her only bike. She has a Valkyrie Trike with over 100,000 miles but it was in the shop for a clutch job so the scooter came out for this ride.
