Painting body panels

I have a '16 grey F6B, have been thinking for a winter project of having the mirror & radiator covers painted to match body color. Wondering about thoughts and if anyone has done this ?

I was thinking about doing that to my black bike. So I think it would look great.

From what I have seen and research done it is no big deal. Check with your local bike shop and see who they use...thats where I would start my research ! Enjoy!

I am strongly considering the same thing. I was also considering the mirrors too. I think painted the color of the bike would look better instead of black (my bike is pearl matte white).

I have painted a number of the panels and have found it to be pretty easy.
1 rough up with scotch pad
2 clean with soap and water, dry with let free cloth.
3 Light coat of adhesive adder by Bully dog
4 spray paint in coats to match.
5 then add clear coat 2 coats.
Rubbing compound to smooth clear coat.
Even I was able to do it, you can get every thing you will need from Colorite. com
All you will need is the color code and that's it my friend.
Just take your time.

This was all done with raddle cans, you must remember to use good stuff from a a paint supplier.
I have one close and use them often. I am still learning, have made some mistakes but life goes on.
The trick is don,t rush and don,the best afraid to sand your clear coat
