Changed my oil today. Used Rotella T6 I bought last fall. Using a black funnel, I poured in about 3.5 quarts of oil. I then realized the oil was as black as my motorcycle. Somebody obviously returned the bottle of Rotella after filling it up with their used oil. When I uncapped it, it was on tight and even had a couple audible snaps from the security ring.

I drained then dumped in a few quarts of miscellaneous oil I had laying around the garage to clean out the crud.

Typing this while draining one last time. I double checked the new gallon of Rotella, real close this time.

I hate asshole scumbags.

Shouldn't there be a foil seal on the opening to the container?

I changed mine today using Rotella T6 and no foil seal. Oil was proper looking and purchased from Walmart as well. That sucks on the used oil.

You can't buy a damn thing there without checking it twice.

You can go and complain to Walmart they can go to the computer and tell who return that oil.

I probably bought this oil last Sept. I think it's a lost cause at this point.

It always amazes me when some dirtbag comes up with new and improved ways to screw the good guy. Who even dreams this crap up? Obviously some Dbag with no moral fiber. Sorry for the headache, that sucks!

Sounds like employee theft. Yeah, I'd be pretty PO'd too.

The same thing happened to me when I bought a $30.00 container of Round Up, it was filled with water, at Wal-Mart also.

The problem with Walmart is that they don't question returns. I worked with a guy who used to brag about his kid doing that. Liquid detergent. He's empty the good stuff, fill it with water, return it saying it made him itch, then went and got another. No questions! He did it with all kinds of stuff. Hope he gets his someday.

Just another reason not to shop there. I haven't set foot in one in 6 years or better. The GF goes occasionally as they're the only place that carries our laundry soap anymore. After the last time she went she's about done with them too.

I generally buy my T6 there. Always check cap and color of oil. This should be done regardless. Too many shady people out there! Doesn't matter the color of the funnel, you can still see good oil from bad if you are looking.
