After looking at these for the last few years I finally pulled the trigger and got one and I wish I had done it years ago. The big honda is a awesome ride. Traded in a multistrada and don't miss a thing. The only down side so far is, after reading through some of the new owner info, I went out and checked the final drive and discovered it is very low. The gears are wet but I can't reach the oil level with a finger. . Hopefully it didn't cause any damage in the 300 miles I've rode so far. We've got a lot of riding planned

Rick.

Get that rear diff topped off. Should be ok... it just boggles my mind why Honda is continually producing these bikes and they are rolling off of the assembly line with low gear oil levels in the diff. :shhh: You'd think somewhere/somehow they've received feedback from the field that the diff's have been discovered to be low...

Check out Steve's comments in the static link below; regarding the final drive (good info in this link)

Topped up the final drive with Lucas 75w90 today, amazingly the gear mesh noise that has been vibrating the foot pegs is almost non existent now. :clap2:

?? I don't think that you should have any vibrating foot pegs. And it is hard to believe the rear got messed up in only 300 miles.

But, if you really have a detectable vibration, I would consider a warranty repair/replacement.

I have to take our back in next week to have some crate damage parts replaced, I'm gonna have it checked out. I can definitely feel a difference now that it has oil in the final drive.

Absolutely, it's a great opportunity to put some faces on the membership, enjoy some good roads, and experience community. I'm likely rolling out on Wednesday and you're elcome to join if it fits your schedule.
