Pigeon Forge Hotel mix up

I always call a week out or so, to confirm my hotel stays. It seems Pigeon Forge updated their computer system and I don't have a room. So after a little firm voice exchange they did find my reservation.

EVERYONE SHOULD CALL TO CHECK AND MAKE SURE THE RESERVATION IS VALID

Interesting. I called them last week and was ok.

Exactly when did they update their computer system? They do pre-charge for the first day when you make your reservation... That should be proof enough

I made my reservation back in March. They said they upgraded the system after that and not all information made it to the upgrade.
She said she found me and will call me back, she needed some time to straighten things out.

Obviously in these days of "automated service", calling a week or two out is good practice.
I encourage all people to do this, all the time, regardless.
