Well I finally got around to taking the bike for a spin this morning after having it for a week. I have a couple questions though. I installed a madstad 11" and I am still getting the negative pressure where it try's to pull your shirt to the windscreen. Also when I got off the bike I noticed I had some dirt on the rear seat from the negative pressure. I know this is a characteristic of some bikes but I never had it on my 06 wing. Also it looks like I'm gonna order some heli bars because I am getting a stabbing pain in between my shoulder blades. I solved it by selling the wing and buying a Spyder RT and installing triaxis handlebars which are about the same thing as the heli bars. Sold the Spyder because I missed the lean of a bike. I can also see I am going to want a rider backrest but I will probably wait and just go with a russel seat. Other than that I loved it. I put a little over 100 miles and never stopped smiling.

Glad you finally got her out!

Madstad: This requires a notebook, tape measure, a protractor, and a 0-85mph area.
For every rider there is a "sweet spot" involving tilt angle and height.
Most of us spent many hours figuring it out - but once you are there, it's heaven.

HeliBars have helped people with taller torsos/shorter arm lengths.
If you get them installed at a rally of some sort, it's a bit more cost effective.

But first.....get your seat sorted.
Once you find the correct arse position, THEN you can make positive, effective, changes to the windshield and handlebars.

Cheers,
Steve

I had the same pain between my shoulders. I opted for risers to solve the problem. For me the difference in how the bars felt were minimal. I didn't see how they would make difference. I was wrong, though. No more pain between my shoulders now. It's a cheap option to Helibars if the change works for you.
