Oh heck no. Try my 7.5" barreled ARpistol. A basketball sized fireball and a concussion you can feel in your chest. That will make you smile.
PS Bring hearing protection😎

Lever actions are cool. I like the mechanics and the feel of them. I've entered a drawing at the local VFW for a Henry 45-70 and I will be absolutely THRILLED if my ticket gets pulled for it :clap2:

I have a Winchester Ranger 30-30 Model 94... that is a great bush gun as well. Shoots nice and flat, and it's one of the few guns I have where I can actually still see and use the iron sights well.

I also tore her down last night and cleaned and inspected her. Always am amazed how "dirty" new guns are when you purchase them. I know that the manufacturer tests fires them.... but really, can't they at least run a couple of swabs down the barrel afterwards? :icon_doh:

This is one rifle that I may use grease on, for some of the wear points. Normally I just use G96 to clean and protect, and a little gun oil... but have been reading about using grease in particular areas with the Mini 14.

Oh... and I am going to have to scope this one... the rear peep sight is worthless to me. Ruger was kind enough to include their proprietary scope rings and a rail/screws so now I need to see if a scope appears in my Christmas stocking... working on that :icon_wink:

Yes, lever actions are cool. I have the Marlin, 1895, in 45-70. Took it in the woods deer hunting, just a few short weeks ago. Sweet gun and round, when your in the woods!

Some time ago I managed to acquire a J. Marlin 1894 Cow Boy Limited with Octagon Barrel in .357 Mag! A sweet little rifle with a "smooth as silk", "lever action". Having a Ruger Revolver in the same caliber makes things easy. I refrain from firing .38 Special ammo from either gun as the shorter cartridges tend to "foul" the barrels:icon_wink: The Cow Boy Limited is Original Version with the JM Proof Stamp on the barrel:shhh:

Mine's a Weatherby Terramark RC in .338 Lapua with a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 8.5-25x50mm. I'm trying to reach out and touch something far away. Still working on it (I can't get the picture to load).

Im currently building a large frame 308 myself. I just got done building a 300blk savage bolt gun out of a stevens 200 that I picked up for stupid cheap. Sweet plinking/hunting rig.

Always reaching for my lever actions when heading out for small game. Took my .410 Rossi lever out squirrel hunting two months back and came home with a nice hen turkey. Also have a Henry .22 with a scope for after the leaves are down.

Mini 14’s are so cool. My dad has one that I have shot quite a bit and it is always a good time.

I like the Henry for anything up to 100 yds. The 20" barrel will push a .357mag 158gr hollow point out at close to 1900 fps.

Anything farther than that, I pull out the bolt action 30-06 (with hand loads). It's good to 400 yds. My eyes won't let me shoot farther than that.

...yesterday. I have a laser boresighter but just decided to to it the old fashioned way at the range. Sure was cold out there... not many folks were present.

Here's the Weaver mounted with the proprietary Ruger scope rings. I may need to move it forward a bit though... if you look closely you can see a hint of the blue buffer recoil pad installed. The M19!!A1 Wilson Combat buffer recoil pad worked very well... no problems chambering rounds or the bolt locking to the rear when required.

Working up shot groups @ 50 yards once I found the paper:

What I ultimately settled for:

http://i65.tinypic.com/majvpz.jpg

It's no target shooter and the groups open up considerably wider @ 100 yards, but I am satisfied with it. It runs flawlessly and is a really sweet semi auto to shoot. She's a keeper!

Good looking mini

I have 2 of them...the stainless one i bought and the old blued one dad used to pack around in his truck. Although i wish i didnt have that second one quite yet.

I always wanted one of the factory folding stock guns just like the Ateam had but the price on those are simply ridiculous

Anyway...happy shooting

You Americans and your guns!
Up here in Canada we have the big one!
Now we just have to find someone big enough to throw it!
