Rivco Aero color/finish

I was reading some reviews (on Wingstuff), and there are couple comments about the black finish on these turning purple. Do any of you current owners have this problem with these? Trying to weigh my options, I'm 5'6" what are my best choices? Have to be black.

Yes. They do turn a slight off blackish color. Don't know if I'd say purple tho.

Yep. Black will fade in the sun like any other color. cept white.

Just heard the same thing from my riding buddy last night. He mentioned his have a purple tint to them. Hardly noticeable, but it was evening.

The originals had a serious purple tint to them due to being anodized if I remember correctly. It bothered me to the point of having them powder coated a couple of years ago.

I remember reading somewhere that they changed the process and the latest ones are supposed to be better. YMMV

I read a lot before I bought mine a few years ago & theyd had an issue prior but mine still look great. My bike is also garage kept or covered all the time. I also broke my right one TWICE.

how 'bout spraying them flat or satin, with a quality paint. Never noticed it bleaching out.
