Not wanting to start a fight here but,
Watching Trump the other night I found myself laughing.
They say, good comedy has a bit of truth in it. And I guess you could say, truth could have a bit of comedy in it too.
This guy has the best stand up truth Ive seen in years.
My only hope is there is another out there like him that can take his place when his term is up.
Hate to say it but all this bull going on is what the country needs to get people off their ass and vote.
It is time to clean house. So, when my chores are done, I can ride with the wind of change.

Biker for Trump

The plan is to repeal the XXII amendment and 2 years into his 3rd term put it back in. By then Donald Trump Jr. will have the gravitas to carry on the legacy. "Sic Semper Trump"

In Australia we have no second ammendment, just people who when called upon do their best, like?

Our home guard, our Australian Army Reserves was called to serve in New Guinea when we had no Infantry Forces at home.
So off they went, not regular army/ infantry or like, but Australia citizens
They went off to stop the best Infantry Forces japan could send, and so they did
America thought it amazing
The prsedent of America presented them with a US Presidential Citation, for bravery
The first and until now the only Presidential cization awarded to a civialian force?
Yeap no second ammendment, just very tough gun laws and citizens that do what they have too:cool:

We're visiting friends in Canada. I just read in the local paper, to date in 2018 there have been 20 deaths in Canada due to guns, that's in over 6 months. Guess what, the citizens are very upset over that.
I said, in the USA we have 40 people die every day from guns.

27 a day actually. 8x more than Canada yet we have 10x the population. The US is 31st in gun deaths including suicide among all nations. Over 100 people die every day in the US from auto accidents which is almost 5x more than those pesky firearms. To bad most people are bad at math or they'd Fret over other ways to check out.

Probably 39 of the 40 are most likely committing a crime, and when the police tell them to "freeze" they either take off running, or point a weapon at the cops. If they would listen, they would most likely live.

ever wonder what the world would be like if the gun was never invented. Many more people than there are now.
Note: Canada has had 20 murders in 2018, that's 7 months ========== not 20 a day.

Canada and most of the civilized world, has a much different mind set about guns than the USA. They feel guns are for hunting game, not humans.

Any uninvited stranger breaks into my home, threatens my family, myself, my cat...I blow their fxxking brains on the wall and call Home Disaster and Restoration to come clean the mess and ionize the air.

It’s really as simple as that.

Did you see that big dude in Milwaukee that came into the restaurant kitchen and cold cocked the lady cook? Her coworker whipped out her gun, and suddenly that prick don’t act so tough. He’s lucky she didn’t turn head into morning oatmeal.

Canada averages 175 gun homicides a year so if there's only been 20 in 2018 it's either going to be a bloody second half of the year or the biggest drop in Canada's history. 400 non gun homicides a year. I wonder how many are by knife?

I see that many other countries are now kissing up to President Trump, at the big NATO meeting this morning, because they don't want to lose the protection and financial support , that the U.S. gives to the planet! They all want free stuff from us. Except, Canada, mr. liberal Trudeau, says he is gonna cut military spending! Yup, he wants United States to take care of him and his country. Not gonna happen. I know many Canadians don't agree with the Prime Minister. Vote him out!

2. Cancer. 1600 people DAILY
3. Respiratory disease. 400 people DAILY
4. Accidents. 375 people DAILY

Happen to know a little bit about guns as I was with a world known military Training unit that trained soldiers from all over the world?
I always laugh when I hear people that say they have a gun for home protection
Don't think they know that a single bullet will travel hrough every wall in the house including exiting through the external brick wall after killing their wife? their children and maybe even their dog?

I know Trump is a very polarizing guy, but facts are facts and tenxxx has it right! Politicians are NOT for the people, Trump is a business man who goes after what makes the most sense, and do it as efficiently as possible.

The press SUCKS! They are trying to get him impeached, but reality is that will never happen. In this time of hypocrisy, I hope some of the liberals/democrats out there stop and think about what being an American is about. Think about the world without this country? We have innovated many things that have made the rest of the world more prosperous, and America isn't about going out and taking land from our might...or wouldn't we own Kuwait?

Honestly, when you look at every abject failure socialism has brought, including an estimated 200 MILLION deaths due to socialist, why shouldn't the one economic system that has worked every time it has tried...why isn't this the reality being taught in schools, and brought to the world? I am talking Capitalism! It makes the delivering of goods and services the most efficient, and provides the greatest opportunity for EVERYONE, regardless of race, religion, gender, etc! It isn't perfect, but in 2,500 years of socialism...you know, the utopia of it being Venezuela...you know, the place that has NO TOILET PAPER, yet the Democrats think this is great government?????

Freedom is the key, whether it is the right to own a gun to health care, you should have the right to decide who you want to see, what you want to own, and how you want to live. Once you have that, the country just works. Ask yourself the question - is there any biological difference from anyone that lives in India, China, Australia, Germany? NO. What is the difference? Freedom and Capitalism - made the greatest country in the world, a superpower and THE economic engine of the world!

You can't refute facts, try it and I will clean your clock but make sure you have FACTS and not fantasy because I will destroy it with truth and logic.

Don't think they know that a single bullet will travel hrough every wall in the house including exiting through the external brick wall after killing their wife? their children and maybe even their dog?

You surely realize that depends on the caliber or gauge, type of bullet, velocity the round is loaded to, type of walls, whether the projectile hits a stud or just drywall and many other variables? A 556/223 small game round is designed to expand reliably in critters as small as crows and prairie dogs and can't be depended on to humanly kill deer because it lacks sufficient penetration to reach the vitals. The same thing with the 22/250, 220 swift, 204 Ruger and most other .22 caliber hunting rounds. You can buy special purpose loads in these calibers made for reliably penetrating and killing deer size game but you have to look for them.

The most frequently used and owned firearms here are chambered in .22LR. A HP .22LR will barely pass through a few layers of plywood or drywall and isn't going to pass through your house unless it's made of tin foil. On the other hand, 9mm, 45ACP, .556 and .308 caliber FMJ bullets will pass through multiple thicknesses of drywall and are what is mostly used in the military due to non-expanding bullets being deemed more humane.

However, few knowledgeable homeowners would use these bullets for home defense because they lack the stopping power of expanding bullets and because of the over penetration issue. When considering shotguns, slugs and buckshot can indeed penetrate multiple walls but probably not brick walls. My favored home defense shotgun load is #6 small game shot which will be devastating at close range but has little over-penetration danger. My favored self-defense handgun rounds all have large hollow-points for the same reasons.

Military experience is primarily with military weapons and ammo and doesn't always reflect the wide range of ballistic choices available in the civilian world. The difference in penetration between an M16 shooting FMJ ammo in 3 round bursts and a civilian semi-auto AR shooting rapidly expanding bullets in the same caliber is huge. An AR in a big game caliber such as the .458 socom or .450 Bushmaster is made for power and penetration and will take down a moose or your brick wall but is seldom used for home-defense, although, for those who live in the country it would be an option.

Although I have no military training I am a gunsmith and have some small knowledge of firearms and ballistics.

Here is a good read for everybody. I learned this in jr high.
Its the first thing stricken from history when socialists liberals took over the education system.
They got a foot in the door with the school lunch program. You take gov. money, you do what the gov. says.

http://libertyunderfire.org/2011/11/1430/

socialism was tried here and failed with a death tole that almost whipped out the pilgrims.
And the same thing is happening in the US today.

And don't tell me the proper type of socialism was never tried.
There will N E V E R be any type of it that will work. Not mater where it tried.

We're divided because a large portion of this country wants to destroy its existence and turn it into something it was never intended to be. Read this on Facebook, thought it might be pertinent to this discussion. Happy to hear other perspectives on it, but I'm not interested in an online (or otherwise) pissing competition. So if you have a valuable perspective about this, please feel free to share it.

"I tuned in to Fox News again last to see how their post-Helsinki messaging was evolving. As I settled in, Sean Hannity was the middle of reciting a list of Trump’s accomplishments. As he was wrapping up his list, he concluded, “And he has finally turned the economy around.” With that bizarre declaration about the economy, my mental warning system started screaming and neurotransmitters started showering my brain with bullshit-suppressing facts and information. I work with economic data every day and quickly drowning in so many objections that I simply couldn’t hear anything beyond that “turnaround” claim. Here are some of the objective thoughts that came flooding through my head:

Trump has been in office 17 months and the monthly employment growth over those months has averaged 189,000 jobs. The level of new jobs is well below the 206,000 a month growth during Obama’s last 17 months. No turnaround here.

The quarterly increase in Business Investment under Trump has averaged 4.3 percent growth. However, investment growth in Obama’s last quarter was double that, at 10.8%. No Trump turnaround here.

(The average Business Investment growth for Obama’s full eight-year term was a record setting 26.2%, driven largely by the strong surge in investment early in his first year due to the Great Recession. However, even dropping Obama’s first full year, the average for his remaining seven years was 5.8%--noticeably stronger than Trump’s 4.3% to-date.)

Net Foreign Investment into the U.S. averaged around $400 billion a year for the last two years of the Obama administration, but fell by almost half to around $240 billion in 2017, Trump’s first year. No Trump turnaround here.

Growth in U.S. GDP has averaged 3.1% since Trump has been in office, while the average for Obama’s eight years was 2.6%. This represents an improvement, but hardly a turnaround.

The unemployment rate was 9.1% the month Obama took office and fell steadily to 4.3% in December, 2016, the last full month of his term. In January, 2017 when Trump took office, the unemployment rate was 4.5%, and after 17 months has fallen to 3.7%. The unemployment rates over Trump's term are simply a continuation of a trend that began in Obama’s first year. No Trump turnaround here. (See the attached chart.)

Would any of this, or any other data or information, change Sean Hannity’s mind, or even give him a moment's pause to reflect on the evidence? Yeah, sure. When Hell turns into an igloo. It is possible that on every subject that Sean talks about other than economics, he is truthful, masterful and 100% spot on. I will never know. He is so blatantly, smugly wrong on a subject that I happen know a little something about or at least care enough about to take the time to look up, that I would have to assume he was mistaken if he said the sky is blue."

Anyone with one hand tied behind his back could destroy that nonsense.
O spent trillions on Wall Street and unions were the only ones that had a decent job.
He dumped money into the economy to keep it floating.
They didn't even count those who finally quit looking for work as being unemployed.
A huge number of those jobs were new government employees.
So things are going so well O has to come back and remind us of how well socialism works.
Sometimes what he says is so twisted it takes a while to figure it out.
The only ones who understand him are his minions.
Get used ti it. Trump won. We are winning. And theres gonna be 7 more years of it.
By the time Trump leaves office, all that socialism will be wiped and you minions will have to start all ver again.
I'm done with this thread too. I don't need to defend Him any more. We have Hanity to do it for us.
GOD has Blessed America once again.

PS, sorry for the religious reference, I know it stings.

We've all been lied too...
We've all been liars...
Confirmation bias is something that effects all of us unfortunately but if you as an adult can't see that both parties do nothing for the average American then you're a lost cause. Our representatives grift, enrich themselves, friends, and family off the backs of most working people and its been going on for over a century. Banking and big business run the show and if you don't believe that I have some beach front property right here in Severance CO I'd like to sell you. I'm personally not a fan of Trump but I believe there's people in government who've done things a 1000 times worse and frankly should be hanging from trees. He has the whole system against him because they want the scam to continue yet there he stands, president. Say what you want about his tact or personality but there's no denying his success. Owns or is involved in hundreds of companies yet people hang on the 5,10 or 30 failures. Anyone that's been in business would kill for that record. Borrowed millions from daddy yet turned it into billions. I was hoping that he would be a change agent for the bloated carcass known as the Federal Government but unfortunately the swamp is way to deep and enticing.

Bingo and amen...Non-gun toting countries have no idea.

I traveled AU many years and had great debates with the folks down under regarding guns...some pretty strange thoughts came out of those conversations.

Thank you for your contribution, tenxxx. If anyone else has any actual statistical data, directly relevant to the points made in the above post, I would be genuinely interested in as much context as possible. I think the original poster was clear about the direct numerical comparisons between the two Presidents, so it would make sense to answer in kind.

The original poster is Tenxxx. For someone who's not into pissing matches you fingers are still typing. Perhaps start your own thread about subjects copy and pasted off of Facebook to demean a sitting President. It's no secret Facebook suppresses the conservative viewpoint at every chance so why should this guys slant be any more important than anything written on this thread? Who is this financial guru? Name please. Where did he get these numbers? Source please. I call BS on the whole post as any real financial professional would give zero shit about what Sean Hannity says or thinks. This expert is getting pretty worked up over an opinion guy who has less than 3.5million people a night watching in a country of 350 million plus. Now where did that Rachel Maddow financial report go........

OK, You win. Your facts are better than mine.

I didn’t vote for Obama but it was my duty as citizen to support the office. Trump is our president snow flakes. Support the office or leave. Anyone can twist statistics and stay angry because they didn’t get their way but it takes a patriot and a man to support our country and the office of the POTUS.

Happen to know a little bit about guns as I was with a world known military Training unit that trained soldiers from all over the world?
I always laugh when I hear people that say they have a gun for home protection
Don't think they know that a single bullet will travel through every wall in the house including exiting through the external brick wall after killing their wife? their children and maybe even their dog?

While your thinking may serve you well in other countries, the founding fathers had specific ideas when they wrote the constitution for this shining experiment we call the United States of America.

The short little statement contained in the 2nd amendment has had volumes written about it, including by the framers of our constitution. If you take the time to look up the Federalist Papers, specifically #46 and #29 and read them, you would quickly realize the 2nd amendment does not refer to home defense, hunting, or even sporting purposes. No, Hamilton and Madison make it abundantly clear that bearing arms is "the (God given) right of the people" who would ... protect us from national tyranny.

:icon_smflag: This is what makes us free citizens vs subjects of a government. :icon_smflag:

Extrapolating further, one could make the argument that law abiding citizens should be allowed weapons equal to the military's ... But that is a discussion for another day.

:soapbox:
As always, my apologies to any I may have offended.
