rear rack

Been looking for a rear rack. I do like the size and looks of MP3 but I see they are almost impossible to get. What is the closest in size to one of them? I see Wing Stuff is doing a pre order on a black rack to be shipped at later date. Just looking for ideas. Thanks.

Completely agree on the quality & looks. Unfortunately these days you don't always receive the quality you expect and pay for. This person did an excellent job.

Checked it out on E Bay. The vendor has one more available, looks like the guy is making them in southern Indiana! If I did not already have a nice rack I would jump all over this one.

I am really surprised that someone has not taken and MP3 rack and copied it and started selling them. If I had access to one I know a guy that runs his own machine shop he has plasma cutters and water jet. I know he could reproduce them

Pretty much just like the Honda rack but bigger. The layers have to be the same underneath so the same spacers will fit. I would put better hooks for bungees to attach. The layers on the underside are also important so the bolt heads are recessed and do not protrude on top of the rack.

I like all the options you have for tie downs and hooks as opposed to the MP3. I find bungee net hook placement is a bit tough on my MP3. Not a deal breaker but...yours is very stylish.

MP3 was a brand of rack that was basically what most of thought the rack should be.
The OEM is kinda narrow.

eBay or someone selling a used one on c-list, or here is your only hope.

Rack came in along with the mounting brackets separate but both arrived same day via two day free delivery. Quality of rack is superb. 3/16 heavy duty with good attachment hardware. Directions were a bit crude as in hand drawn. I had to purchase two Additional hex cap screws As for my installation the shortest were just 5mm too short. I have the standard F6B so no passenger backrest. Also the mounting brackets were from Big Bike Parts. I don't know if that made a difference with the hardware needed.
Anyway the rake is really nice and solid. One last item, I don't really like drilling 13/16 holes in the covers for the mounting but couldn't find the pre drilled covers that come with the deluxe model as replacement parts. Any hints?

I haven't figured out how to post a picture but the rack looks just like the one Spiff125 posted. Just looks better on my gorgeous blue of course! �� :)
